During rolling, the alloy
becomes extremely 'crude' and consequently fragile.
To prevent breaking the metal in the next processing
stages, it could be necessary to remelt the alloy
in order to bring the ribbon or the strip to the temperature
that makes it more malleable and easy to be worked.
We use a special furnace called tunnel for remelting.
The sheet carried by the ribbon through an oxygen-free
room (tunnel) with a controlled temperature, the oxygen
being the main responsible for the oxidation of the
metal when heated.
