Once the melting is done, it is necessary to set the silver tree free from the coat. For this purpose, the mold is submerged into a tank full of cold water where the gesso breaks due to the thermal shock. The gesso wastes will be eliminated with a high-pressure water jet.
Free from the chalk coat, the tree is cleaned and the pieces are carved out from the central stick.

At this point, we have obtained half-finished products from microcasting, which are finally ready to be subject to the last processing stages.
The half-finished products are perfect copies of the original model elaborated in the prototypization stage.
